June CFUG meeting canceled due to summer!

We've elected to cancel June's CFUG Toronto meeting due to pleasant weather. I hope you get some time to enjoy it.

Valerie Bulata's Gravatar XM Radio (Canada) is looking to hire an interactive producer/email marketing guru to join the XM marketing/interactive team. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with strong project management, analytics, and interactive production skills who has a passion for online and 1:1 marketing, communications, social media, and emerging web and mobile technologies. You have a proven track record of email marketing strategies and best practices; data & process flow, and are experienced with all aspects of email marketing systems. This is a permanent opportunity with one of Canada’s premiere audio entertainment companies and begins in September 2010 in the Greater Toronto Area.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

•   3-5 years designing & developing websites, web application user interfaces, and emails – social networking interfaces an asset
•   2+ years working with email deployment systems and coding best practices for maximum compatibility across various email clients
•   3-5 years creative design experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and offline/online production workflows
•   3-5 years experience with server-side technologies and databases such as Adobe ColdFusion, XML, Web Services, and Microsoft SQL Server
•   Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, generating reports and reporting dashboards

SOFT SKILLS:

•   Highly disciplined, results oriented, excellent work ethic / attitude
•   Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical resources
•   Excellent at setting and maintaining expectations
•   Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
•   Passion for data and metrics
•   Quality management and ability to adhere to brand standards

OTHER DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

•   Experience with audio/video streaming over web & mobile
•   Experience with Adobe Flash/Flex
•   Experience with Java and Microsoft .Net
•   Working with different mobile application platforms (Apple, BlackBerry, Android, etc)
•   Writing for the web & email
